Professor’s Journey It was a cold and misty morning, it was nice and warm in the cottage. I was on my way to the kitchen, I quietly walked past Professor Plum's room. Then all of a sudden I heard some glass breaking behind me. I thought it was just the cat knocking down a glass cup so I ran to the library but nothing had been smashed. Then I looked behind me and there were several black figures walking in through a smashed window. I didn’t know what to do so yelled for Professor Plum but there was no response. One of the black figures came over to me and hit me in the head. When I woke up the doors had been glued down with gold and 15 layers of metal. At least we are rich now. The professor was on the ground looking through the books that one of the figures had knocked down. As the professor was on the ground he noticed that one of his books was gone. Then he said “The book contains dark magic and whoever opens it the most powerful demon of all time will be unleashed and everyone in the world is doomed”. The professor was close to a heart attack so I made him take deep breaths. About three hours had passed and I hadn’t even had breakfast. I asked the professor if he would like a drink but he said, “no time for silly drinks”. I was really surprised because he always has a drink each day but I understand that he doesn’t have time for one. The professor said this and I got scared. “We need to go after them and get the book before it’s too late.” I said “ you're crazy and of course we're too late” but he just ignored me. He told me to pick up all the books and then he was off to another potion. This time he was saying this “vimala chithi mope and flappy”. I got really confused maybe it’s a new spell. When I finished picking up the books I got all the stuff for the journey. But as I finished the professor said “ we don’t need that rubbish we need magic and all that type of stuff now go”. When I was finally done I went to the professor and said, “should I get the horses ready?” This was his response; “no I quickly made a teleporting potion” as he smashed the bottle on the ground a huge portal appeared . The professor walked through but I thought it wouldn’t work. Then the professor said “ I see them, now come and be quiet” As I walked through I saw the men they were trying to summon the demon.That’s when the professor yelled “A mates what ya doing?” I said “ I thought you said to be quiet”. But the professor said “no I didn’t and why are you trying to be quiet you should be loud like me” I said confused “ what do you mean? you are trying to get the book back right?” but he said “na forget it we don’t need it anymore” that is when I knew that HE IS THE FAKE PROFESSOR PLUM! I pushed the man on the ground and said “ WHERE IS THE PROFESSOR!” The fake said, “what do you mean, I am the real”. I knew he was lying so I had nothing to do but make him see who’s boss. I raised my fist and yelled once more then he said, “he’s in the cave with the demon's pet” scaredly. I ran to the cave and sure enough there he was. In a cave by a giant wolf about half the size of the demon. As I walked close to the wolf where the Professor was. I went to him and the wolf woke up! I grabbed the REAL plum and made a run for it. The wolf started running after us. The wolf was right behind me. Then I pulled out a potion from the professor's bag and threw it at the wolf hoping that it would make it fall back to sleep again. But instead it made a ring of fire around the wolf. so the overgrown wolf was trapped. We ran past the men I grabbed from the book but I was too late. The demon had been summoned. But as soon it had all its power and was ready to blow up the world Plum threw two Potions at the demon. One made A force field above the demon in around it and the other made a portale and sent the demon back to its realm for another 300,0000000 years. As we got back home instead of putting the book on the bookshelf we put it with our giant snake in the basement. The End

Peacock Spider

We have been doing information report's on insects and have done secret linking. I am doing the Peacock Spider hope you enjoy.

skiing
On the third day of camp, we woke up and had breakfast. We played some games and then we got changed into our clothes but not any ordinary clothing. We got ready in our ski gear and waited on the deck for the bus to come down the road to pick us up so that it could take us to the ski field.
On the mountain road, we saw heaps of snow and some of us wanted to jump into it. When we arrived and got off the bus, there was heaps of snow in the car park.
We all got our bags out and got ready for lunch. Then got in line to get our boots, ski gear and skis. Then we went to the ski field for our lessons. We started to learn how to put our ski’s on. When we finished that, we started to learn how to move and how to stop.
Then our teacher told us a game called Traffic lights. So what you have to do is that when the ski teacher say red light you have to stop by doing a pizza (which you have to split your legs open and make sure not to cross your skis over each other. When he said green light, you can go as fast as you like. Last but not least, when he said yellow light you had to slow down.
Then we kept on doing that down the hill until it was time for the last time to go down the hills on that round we did follow the leader down the hill and we had to go down and turn either way down the hill then had lunch. Then when we were done that we got to go down the hill as many times

Kokatahi Kowhitirangi school would like the opportunity to win $10,ooo to enhance and develop our school's outdoor learning environment. We have ideas for how we can further our educational purpose.

Here are my ideas

Corn maze, So we can learn to cook and every year we can plant 

it again                                                                                                           

Pathway, so that when we need to get somewhere we can go on that so it can be faster.

Watermelon Plants, so that we know what type of responsibility when caring for plants comes in.

An insect station to learn more about insects and plants that they eat.

A pond that might have goldfish in it and lily pads that may have heaps of strange insects to study.

A bird study so we can learn more about native birds that live among us.

We really want to compete in the treemendous competition so that we can learn and we can know what respect means to our animals and the environment around us.     

     

    Animal Town

I went to a place called Animal town on the 17 of June and there were just thousands of animals l mean billions of animals everywhere they were in the shops, in car’s, trucks, buses. There was a fading yellow bus and at the front of it it looked like it is smiling. There were three dirty brown markats with white chests standing by the bus, sitting inside of it at the front step was a grey and brown bear and it was just looking at me.There was a giraffe sticking its head out of the front window. There was a lion sitting on the roof that looked like a roof of about the lion was a yellow-brown ginger color. In front of the lion was a parrot it had a blue head an orange body and green back and tail squawking. In the front of the bus was a black and white zebra walking on a zebra crossing and staring at me.There was a really big gorilla its face was black and it was a really brown color and it was really hairy. It was sitting under a roof that said (County Court House). There in the distance was a grey and white fur on the side of its face it was a spy koala looking at us. I could hear an add going on T.V saying animal town there ain’t no place to except animal Town.

 Don came to school

On wednesday a man called Don ( Zak’s Dad) Don came to kokatahi  kowhitirangi school he went into the kea room to tall us all about the sea because the kea class did not get to go t rocky shore.

Don brought shall’s, skols, his computer, and his pepeha. First Don said is pepeha he said it loud and proud to the Kea and hoiho class’s. Next Don shode us a seal skol it took quite a bit long to get the right answer Don pretend that the seal was turking there was a funny bit someone arcked  Don a question then the cast went funny and Don yaled NO  I said to the girl he said your answer.

After that Don shode use a define skol it had no nose, no jour cochin to holed the jour. Then Don shode us another define skol but it was so smelly you could small it from a mile away. Then Don said to us if you dive into the ocean a blue code will come up to you and think what are you? Then you will put your head up and then it will see its reflection and start bang into your gogils.

the water cycle

 The Water Cycle

Have you ever heard about the water cycle? The water cycle is water that's Evaporates and goes into the rear the tiny little droplets goon together and become the clouds.  Then the cells begin to read and fall on us it can come down like snow, hail, rain, or sleet. Did you know that water comes from plants too?.

Evaporation is when the sun shines on the water it heats it up and the water starts to disperse.

Condensation

Is when tiny water Droplets that turn into clouds.

Groundwater is when water runs down crakes and some people drink from it Is when the rain falls and it goes into the cracks in the grand. Then the grand water goes into the sea. Then it starts all over again.

Collection is when water gets riand into a river.

We can't get any more or any less because the water cycle keeps going on and on.

Precipitation

is like little droplets fall onto a window screen.
